This large square handcrafted basket and four placemats reflect the Provencal bread baskets that I watched my grandmother make as a girl. I purposely made the basket large (13 inches square) and about 4 inches high and the placemats are 13x16 inches. They are made of cotton, Pellon, batting with buttons at the corners. You can't store it flat, but why would you want to store it away? The basket can be used for bread, fruit, chips, or a catch-all basket for just about anything. Machine wash delicate and air dry.
